 Please Note: We put this here in 2004, so everyone can read it when you want to, as we have nothing to hide and we are one of the few web sites with a legal and return policy. Check it out and you will see others sites are not as open as we are. But hey if you never read this before, what can we say?

Terms of use

Access to and use of this site ('JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv') is provided by JSAT tv subject to the following terms:

i. JSAT.tv Web board shall imply the satellite forum at http://thaisatellite.tv also known as  www.thaisatellite.tv
ii. www.jsat.tv shall imply to the entire html pages under this domain name   
iii. "We" shall imply in most cases to the owners of i and ii above.
iv. Product and Company names used in i. and ii. and herein are the
    trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners
    and any action should be in accordance with section 14 below

By using JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv you agree to be legally bound by these terms, which shall take effect immediately on your first use of JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv. JSAT tv may change these terms at any time by posting changes on or offline. Please review these terms regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by JSAT tv. JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv content, including the information, names, images, pictures, logos and icons regarding or relating to JSAT tv and/or Solutions Factory Company Limited, its products and services (or to third party products and services), is provided "AS IS" and on an "IS AVAILABLE" basis without any representations or any kind of warranty made (whether express or implied by law) to the extent permitted by law, including the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.
 
Under no circumstances will JSAT tv and/or Solutions Factory Company Limited be liable for any of the following losses or damage (whether such losses where foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise): (a) loss of data; (b) loss of revenue or anticipated profits; (c) loss of business; (d) loss of opportunity; (e) loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; (f) losses suffered by third parties; or (g) any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv regardless of the form of action.
 
JSAT tv does not warrant that functions contained in JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv content will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs.
Intellectual Property

The names, images and logos identifying JSAT tv or third parties and their products and services are subject to copyright, design rights and trade marks of JSAT tv, Solutions Factory Company Limited and/or third parties. Nothing contained in these terms shall be construed as conferring by implication, estoppels or otherwise any license or right to use any trademark, patent, design right or copyright of JSAT tv, Solutions Factory Company Limited, or any other third party.
Contributions to JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv

Where you are invited to submit any contribution to JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv (including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio) you agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant JSAT tv a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, make available to the public, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your contribution worldwide and/or to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution. If you do not want to grant to JSAT tv the rights set out above, please do not submit your contribution to JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv.
 
Further to paragraph 9, by submitting your contribution to JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv, you:
 
10.1 warrant that your contribution;
 
10.1.1 is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to JSAT tv for all the purposes specified above;
 
10.1.2 is not defamatory; and
 
10.1.3 does not infringe any law; and
 
10.2 indemnify JSAT tv against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by JSAT tv as a result of your breach of the above warranty; and
 
10.3 waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv and the purposes specified above.

You agree to use JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv Communities (including any of JSAT.tv's The Satellites I can watchs) in accordance with the following Community Rules. These apply across all JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv community sites and services. You should, however, read the local house rules of the particular site or service you’re using, as there may be some local variations to these Community Rules
About your posts:

Contributions must be civil and tasteful
No disruptive, offensive or abusive behaviour: contributions must be constructive and polite, not mean-spirited or contributed with the intention of causing trouble.
No unlawful or objectionable content: unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, references to cracking nor to the hacking or misuse of pay TV or subscription based networks, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable.
Be patient: users of all ages and abilities may be taking part in the relevant JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv Community.
No spamming or off-topic material: we don’t allow the submission of the same or very similar contributions many times. Please don't re-submit your contribution to more than one discussion, or contribute off-topic material in subject-specific areas.
No advertising unless arranged with the management of this system outside of the buy sell and exchange section of the JSAT.tv web board.
No spoilers: material which contains plot developments which haven't been transmitted on worldwide analogue or digital television will be deleted unless submitted in a designated ‘spoilers’ area.
Contributions containing languages other than English may be removed unless allowed in the relevant local house rules.
No impersonation
No inappropriate (e.g. vulgar, offensive etc) user names
Safety:

We advise that you never reveal any personal information about yourself or anyone else (for example: telephone number, home address or email address), and please do not include postal addresses of any kind. If you have a helpful address to share, inform the host of the relevant Community area using the 'Contact Us' link, and they will promote it if they see fit.
About the law:

If you post or send offensive or inappropriate content anywhere on or to JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv Communities or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour on JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv, and JSAT tv considers such behaviour to be serious and/or repeated, JSAT tv may use whatever information that is available to it about you to stop any further such infringements. This may include informing relevant third parties such as your employer, school or email provider about the infringement/s.
JSAT tv reserves the right to delete any contribution, or take action against any account, at any time, for any reason.
General

If there is any conflict between these terms and specific terms appearing elsewhere on JSAT.tv web board or www.jsat.tv (including local house rules) then the latter shall prevail.
 
If any of these terms are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these terms are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within the jurisdiction in which that term is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and the remaining terms shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.
 
These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Kingdom of Thailand only. As discussed in many jurisdictions out side of the Kingdom of Thailand, we at JSAt.tv has implemented a real time abuse / misuse of service on its web board at http://thaisatellite.tv so you can notify us of any issues the moment you are made aware of them, and you notify us of such.  Please ensure when this service is used this is followed up by an email or fax within 24 hours for us to take the appropriate action.
Compliance

15. JSAT.tv complies with the the 2007 Computer-related Crimes Act of the Royal Thai Government which came into effect on the 18JULY2007. As a user you should be aware all logs / messages / dealing with www.jsat.tv are kept for the subscribed period of not less than 90 days, this includes your emails, web based messages in the message board, IP address, browser details and will be made available when called upon.

General Disclaimer
We do not sell to individuals under the age of 16 without the supervision or consent of their parents. However, since with our mail order provision we cannot individually verify the age of all our customers, we are unable to always enforce this policy and as such JSAT.tv can not be held liable for any such occurrence. The equipment provided by JSAT.tv, is intended for legitimate free to air usage only.

By placing an order, the purchaser states that he/she is of legal age and that products ordered will only be used in a lawful manner. It is the sole responsibility of the end user to ensure compliance with all laws when using these products or any information contained herein. Your purchase is subject to our return policy agreement.  By placing an order, the purchase order that is signed by you the customer of JSAT.tv is a legal and binding contract under Thai law and all conditions apply.

Jsat.tv does not now nor at anytime in the past guarantee that any satellite signals on any satellite will remain as they are when you purchased a system from us i.e. transferring from analog to SD to HD, end of satellite transmission, change in link budget signals, change in frequency or satellite. As we are an equipment only provider and as such have no control over the signals / transmissions types sent via satellite.

Jsat.tv does not provide 'legal opinions' at all on anything, other than what is listed here on this page /legal.htm and under our return policy page at /return.htm . Specifically we do not provide legal opinions on the legality of S-MATV systems, domestic TVRO systems nor commercial TVRO systems or otherwise and it is up to the purchaser to ensure you or they have sought an opinion on this purchase or future purchase with or via their or your own legal representatives and it is not to be not assumed any legal opinion has been said or implied by JSAT tv and its staff.

When you buy a receiver from us, your receiver will be sent to you with the latest software and firmware from the manufacturer, in time you understand this firmware will change and the manufacturer's will provide a newer or updated version of this software, and JSAT.tv will make this available to you via our upgrade pages here. 3rd party software is not supported by us or the manufacturer and if used it will void the equipment manufacturer's and the JSAT.tv warranty immediately.

Note that firmware and software is incompatible across various models. If you upload the wrong software and create a problem with the receiver, this will not only void your warrantee and but may make your receiver inoperable. It may require service which is not covered under the warranty and covered under our return policy section. File transfers errors are entirely your responsibility and we are not responsible for any set top box / PC or receivers problems as a result of that.

To avoid invaliding your warranty, contact us here to have trained technician upload software to your receiver. Only official software and upgrades available from the manufacturer's can be used with your receiver.  Under no circumstances, should any other software be used with a receiver.

All systems provided by JSAT tv are provided as free to air systems only.

 Return For Refund or Exchange

We here at JSAT.tv are committed to your satisfaction, and will happily process your return or exchange according to the following procedures and conditions.
If you are dissatisfied with your purchase individual equipment purchase (a non package purchase) from JSAT.tv, due to non performance or false advertising you have under Thai Law seven (7) days from the date of signing the purchase order to return it for a credit or exchange, providing that the product has not been installed, damaged or modified.  Please understand that we cannot accept goods that are returned incomplete, firmware changed from original or delivered condition or in used condition and provide a full refund.  Dish antennas that have been installed or an attempt has been made to install them, can be returned at the nominated second price not exceeding THB 2,500, less any labour cost incurred by JSAT.tv in the removal of the equipment. All items that are received for FREE will not be accepted to be returned or exchanged.
 
In the unlikely event you have purchased a complete package as outlined in your purchase order from JSAT.tv and wish to have a credit or refund, this must be done within seven (7) days under Thai Law of signing your Purchase Order. All refunds will have deducted from them the cost of labour, the cost of cable and  dish antenna(s) that have been installed can only be returned at the nominated second hand price not exceeding THB 3,500 for a move dish antenna and THB 2,500 for a fixed dish antenna depending on the type of dish and at JSAT.tv determination only , also less any labour and travel costs incurred in the removal of the equipment as outlined in our standard call out charges here. All items that are received for FREE will not be accepted to be returned or exchanged.
 
In your Purchase Order you have agreed that or will agree that the following minimum conditions (or more if specified at time of purchase);
1.         I duly note that JSAT TV is not responsible for any acts of GOD which may cause damage to the satellite dish or receiver, or building or any property, i.e excessive wind storms, lightening strikes, earthquakes, vandalism  etc.
2.      I duly note that there is no guarantee that the satellites,  TV or Radio channels, and or encryption will not change from time to time, and acknowledge this is beyond the control of JSAT.  Most satellites from 169 east to 68.5 east have been pre-configured as standard.
3.        I duly note that Point to Point 11/12ghz & wiMAX ground based  microwave signals can seriously effect various C & Ku Band satellite signals and acknowledge this is beyond the control of JSAT.
4.    This system is provided as a free to air system only
Returned merchandise for Repair:
Make sure you complete and return to the manufacturer the warrantee registration card provided with your equipment purchase (JSAT.tv holds full records which you can have a copy of at any time for this purpose and date of the signed purchase order will be deemed to be the date of the start of warrantee).

A THB 350 labor charge plus any extra costs incurred may be assessed on products or accessories returned for warranty repair in which no fault is found or the fault is caused by an act of god or by a person or persons at the customer premise.

Customer is solely responsible if the returned  Merchandise is damaged in shipping. Any such unit will be repaired at the standard out of warranty rates.

Customer are responsible for shipping / insurance to our Bangkok offices. We are not responsible for returned items lost during shipping. Make sure you have enough insurance coverage.

If you require JSAT.tv to collect the equipment from you a transport charge will be incurred as per the normal call out rates as found here, and a labour charge will also apply.

When equipment is returned to the Manufacturer JSAT.tv  cannot guarantee that any Returned Merchandise will be delivered back to you on a specific date.  In most cases 21 working days should be allowed for this process.

Merchandise will be considered abandoned if no contact with the customer can be made within three (3) months of receipt at the JSAT.tv offices in Bangkok. At that time, the abandoned merchandise will become the property of JSAT.tv and maybe sold to recover any costs incurred.

When using  the Insured Thai EMS Postal Service, please ensure you ship freight prepaid (we will not accept any charges unless otherwise agreed to) and provide the return EMS fees  to:

Note: We cannot control how the item is packed, therefore cannot be responsible for any shipping damage.
 
A 25% restocking fee is applied to Returned Items to cover our return processing, associated administration but not excluding bank fees, and shipping costs. The restocking fee does not apply to exchanges if the item is not used or unpacked. Shipping charges are not refundable. Returns are processed with 10 days of receipt, and refunds are credited within two  weeks of processing.
